Spanish Town-based deejay Skeng can now add “Billboard Charting Artiste” to his growing list of accolades. The revelation came after his Likkle Miss remix featuring Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj debuted on the Billboard Rap Digital Song Sales chart.
Initially, entering at the No.12 spot on September 10, where it remained for a week before exiting. On Tuesday, October 11, the song re-entered the chart and currently occupies the No.4 position.
The feat marks another career milestone for Skeng, who continues to enjoy an uptick in streams and popularity across various digital platforms.
Since its release two weeks ago, the accompanying visual for the remix has accumulated over 3.1 million views on Youtube, while Skeng’s original video remains ahead with over 3.5 million.
With all the fanfare now surrounding the project, Likkle Miss has spawned a second remix dubbed FINE NINE, released last week by Minaj.
For the undertaking, the American-based rapper enlisted several of her Caribbean female counterparts, namely Trinidadian soca stars Destra Garcia and Patrice Roberts, alongside Jamaican dancehall acts Spice, Lisa Mercedez, Lady Leshurr, Dovey Magnum, London Hill and Pamputtae to showcase their talent on the record.
