Jamaican Afrobeat star Heph B who also shares some family lineage with Nigeria, continues to break new ground for his career in 2022.
Based out of Houston, Texas, the artist has been making significant strides with his debut album “Amarii”, securing the No.14 spot on the iTunes U.S World Album Chart, for which the streaming platform awarded him a plaque.
Though not on the album, his latest club banger, “Big Boy“, produced by Steve Rawd, has also bullied its way onto the Billboard Charts, nabbing the No.5 spot on the TOP 25 Chart, a first for any Jamaican within the Afrobeat genre.
After receiving his plaque for the achievement earlier this week, the Jamaican/Nigerian star says he is pleased with the accomplishment stating,
“Great things come to those who wait”, but consistency and hard work remain essential in the process of waiting. This award is very special to me because it represents another stride musically for African and Caribbean culture.”
Intent on becoming a global superstar Heph B says he will be launching a more aggressive campaign within the North American and Caribbean diaspora as Afrobeat continues to gain traction in these regions. As part of that campaign, an official “Big Boy” video shot by Foreign Boy Film was released on Friday (June 10) afternoon via the newly created artiste channel.
