Armed with a newly minted work permit, dancehall star Laa Lee will embark on his first U.S tour this summer.
Kicking off the festivities will be his debut performance at Florida’s Best Of The Best (BOTB) showcase on May 29 at the Bayfront Park, Downtown Miami, alongside Beres Hammond, Baby Cham, Mr Vegas and Christopher Martin, among others.
He will return to the Caribbean for a series of regional assignments throughout June before jetting off to Connecticut for a pair of shows in Hartford and Bridgeport on July 1 and 15, respectively. Amid those will be a gig at the DMV (Maryland) on July 3.
According to manager Frankie (Frankie Music), there has been an uptick in demand since the announcement of Laa Lee’s BOTB appearance.
“Since we announced ‘Best Of The Best, ‘ there has been an increase in requests from promoters. Presently we are weighing all our options, and once negotiations are finalized, an official list of tour dates will be made available.” – he added.
Locally, Laa Lee is set to headline CHUG IT’s 10th-anniversary celebration this Sunday, May 22, at the Sugarman Beach in Portmore. He’s also confirmed for Reggae Sumfest at Catherine Hall, Montego Bay. The event will run from July 18-23.
