The organizers of Reggae Sumfest have issued an official statement regarding the absence of four performers scheduled for Festival Night 1 this past Friday. According to the announcement made on Saturday, unforeseen issues prevented Jada Kingdom, Valiant, and Marcy Chin from making their appearances, while Kraff was unable to perform due to an unavoidable emergency.
“We understand that many of you travelled from various parishes and countries to see the full lineup, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to our patrons and sponsors. We ensured all commitments were met to guarantee the festival’s overall success,” the organizers expressed in their statement.
Despite these setbacks, the festival thrilled the audience with the much-anticipated performances from several top-tier acts, including Aidonia, Dexta Daps, and Lauryn Hill, among others, delighting over 18,000 attendees at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex.
“The festival remains committed to our core values and the trust you place in us. We are dedicated to working diligently to uphold the exceptional entertainment experience that our global audience expects and deserves,” the statement continued. “Our goal is to continue being the greatest reggae show on earth, a beacon of excellence that shines brightly in the world of music festivals.”
