Leading the pack is the dynamic dancehall singer Dexta Daps, who has garnered an impressive eight nominations. His multiple nods affirm his dominance and influence in the Caribbean music scene. Following closely behind are fellow Jamaican artists Bounty Killer and Masicka, each with five nominations. Their recognition highlights both their veteran presence and continued relevance in the genre.
Soca sensation Skinny Fabulous is another major contender with six nominations. Hailing from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Skinny Fabulous is renowned for his high-energy performances and chart-topping tracks. His contributions to Soca music have earned him a prominent place among this year’s top contenders.
This year’s awards will spotlight over 150 nominees across more than 40 categories, reflecting the diverse and vibrant landscape of Caribbean music. New categories such as International DJ, French Caribbean Artist, Latin Caribbean Artist, and Bouyon Artist of the Year have been introduced to recognize the wide array of musical excellence in the region.
