Dancehall artiste Gage achieved another notable career milestone on Wednesday afternoon when he touched down on U.S. soil for the first time in his decade-long musical journey.
Celebrating this momentous occasion, Gage took to his official Instagram account to share his arrival at John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens, New York. In the accompanying video, Gage stood before the iconic “I ❤️ N.Y.” sign, visibly thrilled by the experience and captioning the moment with, “F**king frighten like.”
This remarkable achievement comes as Gage, whose given name is Ryan Douglas, was recently granted a U.S. work permit, opening up new horizons for his career. He’s poised to kick off a mini-tour along the U.S. Eastern Seaboard, commencing with a performance in Hartford, Connecticut, at Rum Punch Thursdays on September 21. His tour continues with an appearance at Prestige Palace in Freeport, Long Island, New York, on September 29.
Beyond these two stops of his 7-city tour, Gage has an exciting journey ahead, with planned appearances in the Bronx, New Jersey, Baltimore, Atlanta, and Florida as part of his U.S. excursion. The tour is expected to conclude in November, although Prism Marketing Consultants understands there’s the possibility of an extension due to a few available dates.
Gage, who made his foray onto the dancehall scene in 2013 with the street anthem “Walking Gun,” has since gained recognition with hits like “Throat” and “Good P***y Gyal Fi Get Tings.”
His U.S. debut promises to be a significant step forward in his career, as fans eagerly anticipate his performances on American soil.
