Skillibeng has reached a new milestone in his career by joining Canadian superstar Drake on his “It’s All a Blur” North American tour.
The news of Skillibeng’s addition was revealed by Drake days ago via his Instagram Story, where he shared a photo of Skillibeng with the caption “IAAB Chicago Skillibeng.”
The Jamaican dancehall sensation made his highly anticipated debut appearance on July 5 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, marking the beginning of a 56-date tour that will conclude in Columbus, Ohio, on October 9.
This week, the St. Thomas deejay took the stage at the Bell Centre Arena in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, captivating a packed house. He impressed the audience by introducing himself in French, stating, “Bonjour Montreal, je m’appelle Skillibeng,” which translates to “Hi Montreal, my name is Skillibeng“, before delivering thrilling renditions of his international hits “Whap Whap” and “Crocodile Teeth” among several others.
The “It’s All a Blur” tour, co-headlined by Drake and Savage 21, serves as a platform to promote their collaborative album, “Her Loss.” This tour holds significant importance for Drake, as it marks his first North American tour in five years, generating tremendous excitement among fans and industry observers.
Despite a setback in February when Skillibeng had to withdraw from Chris Brown’s U.K/European leg of the “Under The Influence Tour,” his career continues to ascend. The opportunity to tour with Drake and Savage 21 will undoubtedly solidify Skillibeng’s position as a rising powerhouse in the dancehall genre, further propelling his success.
