Dancehall star Skillibeng currently in the U.S on a series of professional assignments, has found himself in the crosshairs of controversy again after a video surfaced online on Monday afternoon purporting that the artiste and his management were assaulted in Hartford, Connecticut, over the weekend.
According to the narrator, the alleged assault on Sunday night resulted from unprofessional conduct by Skillibeng and his management team regarding a June concert he was booked to appear at in Hartford.
The assertions are that Skillibeng did not attend a pricey meet and greet session (U$300 per person) arranged by the organisers. Matters were further compounded by being late for his performance despite being outside the venue in an air-conditioned vehicle prior. When he finally took the stage at the capacity-filled venue, it’s further alleged that he delivered a lacklustre set which was the tipping point for patrons who unleashed their frustration on him.
However, checks by Prism Marketing revealed that there had been no official reports from the promoters, police or Skillibeng’s team regarding the alleged incident. Nonetheless, partygoers did confirm that the artiste was at the venue. He did perform to a capacity crowd but recounted no incidents of assault on the artiste or his team.
