As summer fast approaches, Dexta Daps is working assiduously to complete his sophomore album, Trilogy.
This upcoming release follows the success of his 2020 effort, Vent, which spent three weeks at number one on the US Billboard Reggae Albums chart. Vent featured collaborations with notable artists such as Beenie Man, Chronic Law, and Spice.
After wrapping up his “Dexta Daps Live in the UK!- The Trilogy Tour” with performances in London, Manchester, and Birmingham, Dexta Daps joined forces with Davido on the track Bop. The collaboration debuted on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs Chart and peaked at the number 22 position. Bop is featured on Davido’s fourth studio album, Timeless.
This joint effort with Davido marks Dexta Daps’ first entry on the Billboard US Afrobeats Song Chart. With his album Trilogy on the horizon and his recent success on the charts, The Jamaican dancehall star is proving to be a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
Meanwhile, Daps is currently promoting his latest collaborative effort, Slow Motion, with fellow entertainers Baby Cham and Bounty Killer.
