Nicki Minaj has broken yet another record by surpassing Drake’s previous record for The Most No.1 hits on the Digital Song Sales chart by a rapper.
Chart Data confirms that Nicki has achieved 14 No.1 hits, one more than Drake’s record of 13. This was made possible by her recent collaboration with Ice Spice on the track “Princess Diana,” which just reached the top spot on the chart. The joint effort is a remix of a single from Ice Spice’s EP and is currently at No.4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
This is not Nicki’s first record-breaking achievement; she is also the female rapper with the most Top 10 hits on the Hot 100 chart. Nicki’s first solo number one on the Hot 100 chart was with “Red Ruby Da Sneeze.” This is a rare feat for most artists, especially at Nicki’s stage in her career.
Even though Nicki seems to be preparing for her follow-up to “Queen,” she continues to collaborate and feature on other artists’ songs. Nicki has been on quite a few big songs recently, including NBA Youngboy’s single “WTF” and Kim Petras’ single “Alone,” which also features Nicki.
Nicki’s lyrics on “No Frauds,” her 2017 single, testify to her generosity and willingness to collaborate with other artists: “I would’ve helped you out that pit you fell in. I am the generous Queen! Ask Ms. Ellen.”
Nicki’s latest achievement proves she is still one of the music industry’s most successful and influential rappers today.
