Regina Belle, the Grammy Award-winning American singer, songwriter, and actress, is scheduled to perform in Jamaica later this year.

Belle will headline the “Regina Belle Live in Concert” showcase on May 6 at the Jamaica College Auditorium in Kingston. The concert will also feature Jamaican stalwarts Marcia Griffiths, Glen Washington, and George Nooks.

Belle is no stranger to Jamaica, having previously performed at the Red Rose For Gregory concert at the Liguanea Club in 2019 and the Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival in 2011.

Her professional career began as the opening act for The Manhattans. She later recorded the song “Where Did We Go Wrong” with the group, catching the attention of Columbia Records, who signed her to a record deal.

In 1987, Belle released her debut album “All By Myself,” which included hits such as “Please Believe Me” and “Show Me The Way,” cementing her status as a musical maestro. In 1993, she recorded “A Whole New World” with Peabo Bryson for the Disney movie Aladdin, which hit number one on the Billboard charts and earned Belle two Grammy awards. She has since released several albums, including the gospel set “Love Forever Shines” with Pendulum Records in 2008.

Throughout her illustrious career, Belle has shared the stage with many notable performers, including Ray Charles, Boney Jones, Paul Taylor, The Rippingtons, Gerald Albright, and Stephanie Mills.
