Donald Trump took to social media to express his thoughts on Rihanna’s performance during this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show, calling it an “EPIC FAIL” and the “single worst Halftime Show in Super Bowl history.”
In the post, Trump accused the Barbadian singer of using “foul and insulting” language, which could be a reference to an incident from 2020 where Rihanna was seen posing in front of a graffiti art installation that had the words “Fuck Trump” spray-painted on a car.
Additionally, the former president took aim at Rihanna’s fashion choices during the Super Bowl, saying, “Also, so much for her ‘Stylist!'”
This marks the second time in a week that Trump has criticized the singer. In a previous post, he claimed that Rihanna has “NO TALENT” and would be “NOTHING” without her stylist. Although he did not mention anyone by name, Trump may have been referring to Jahleel Weaver, Rihanna’s long-time creative director.
Rihanna has been publicly critical of Trump in the past, calling his rallies “tragic” and requesting that her music not be played at his events.
The singer took to the Super Bowl stage and delivered a powerful medley of 12 songs, including “Umbrella,” “Diamonds,” and “All of the Lights,” which features Kanye West. During her performance, Rihanna proudly displayed her baby bump, which her publicist confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
Both Rihanna and Trump have yet to respond to requests for comment from the media.
