It is with great sadness that we report the sudden and tragic passing of Jo Mersa Marley. Prism Marketing Consultants understands that the 31-year-old Reggae singer, who is the son of Stephen Marley and grandson of reggae legend Bob Marley, was found unresponsive in a motor vehicle on Tuesday.
Mersa, whose given name is Joseph Marley, made his debut in 2014 with the EP “Comfortable.” Subsequently collaborating on the GRAMMY-winning album Strictly Roots by Morgan Heritage.
His follow-up EP, titled “Eternal,” was highly anticipated by fans and critics alike. Mersa was in the United States at the time of his death, and it remains unclear as to the cause of his untimely passing.
The news of his death has sent shockwaves through the music industry, as Mersa was beloved for his talent and dedication to carrying on the legacy of his family and reggae music. Several members of the entertainment community have begun sending their condolences to Mersa’s family during this difficult period.
