The 1982 album has re-entered the Billboard Reggae Albums chart at No. 10, following its No. 3 peak on the chart in April 2025, as a reimagining of her signature hit Bam Bam, HUGEL and SOLTO’s Jamaican (Bam Bam), continues its international run.
Originally released on vinyl in 1982, One, Two features three of Sister Nancy’s best-known recordings: One, Two, Bam Bam and Transport Connection. Its latest Billboard return adds another chapter to the album’s extraordinary post-release journey, with its renewed visibility coming more than 40 years after it first reached listeners.
Meanwhile, Jamaican (Bam Bam) has transformed Nancy’s 1982 dancehall classic into a global Afro-house and electronic crossover. Credited to French producers HUGEL and SOLTO, the reworked track has reached No. 10 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, No. 44 on the Global 200 and No. 22 on Global Excl. U.S., according to the latest chart update. It has also maintained a strong presence in Europe, including a No. 10 position in France.
The track’s international success has extended beyond chart positions. Jamaican (Bam Bam) has collected platinum certifications in Greece, Belgium and Portugal, gold in Italy, Spain and Mexico, and a diamond certification in France. The song has also established a significant presence in the United Kingdom, where it has reached No. 34 on the Official Singles Chart and No. 5 on the Official Dance Singles Chart.
For Sister Nancy, the resurgence adds to a remarkable second life for a catalogue that has continued to influence generations of music.
