D’Yani has secured a major career breakthrough in the United Kingdom after “Dutch Pot”, lifted from his debut album Live Life & Prosper, was officially added to the BBC Radio 1Xtra Playlist. The addition marks the Jamaican singer’s first UK mainstream radio playlist breakthrough, placing his music in the same official playlist rotation as offerings from international stars including Cardi B, Estelle, Yung Miami, Drake, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Beyoncé.
The milestone arrives just days after Live Life & Prosper began making early international moves following its release. The 11-track project debuted at No. 3 on the U.S. iTunes Reggae Albums Chart while also reaching No. 3 on Apple Music in Saint Kitts and Nevis, before appearing across multiple other Caribbean markets. The album has also charted in Jamaica at No. 17, Belize at No. 28, Dominica at No. 29, St. Lucia at No. 48, Bermuda at No. 61, the British Virgin Islands at No. 69, Barbados at No. 76, Turks and Caicos at No. 87, The Bahamas at No. 93, Uganda at No. 98 and Grenada at No. 107.
“Dutch Pot” now adds a significant UK dimension to the project’s early momentum. D’Yani previously described Live Life & Prosper as a deeply personal body of work, saying, “Every song carries a lesson or a testimony, and I hope people can find a piece of themselves in these stories.” Blending reggae, ska and lovers rock, the album includes tracks such as “Journey”, “Live A Little”, “Miss You Bad”, “Blooming”, “Fi Mi Mama” and “Jah Has Been Too Good”, while “Dutch Pot” has emerged as its latest international calling card.
