Masicka is making an immediate chart statement with the release of Forever Reign. The Jamaican dancehall star has landed the new album at No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes Top 100 Reggae Albums chart, while Generation of Kings and 438 have also surged into the Top 12 at No. 9 and No. 12 respectively. The momentum stretches across international and Jamaican markets, with Forever Reign reaching No. 4 on the U.S. and Canadian iTunes All-Genres Albums charts and No. 14 in the UK, while three of Masicka’s previous projects and six songs from his catalogue are simultaneously charting in Jamaica on Apple Music.
The performance gives Forever Reign an immediate presence beyond the reggae category. In the United States, the 17-track album sits at No. 4 on the iTunes All-Genres Top 200 Albums chart, while Canada has also placed the project at No. 4. In the UK, Forever Reign is No. 14, signalling early international demand for Masicka’s third studio album following its August 14 release.
Meanwhile, Masicka’s catalogue is also benefiting from the new album’s arrival. In Jamaica, Generation of Kings is at No. 17 on the Apple Music Albums chart, followed by 438 at No. 20 and Her Name Is Love at No. 40. Six songs are also occupying positions on Jamaica’s Apple Music Top Songs chart, led by “Tyrant” at No. 21. “Pain” featuring Popcaan follows at No. 43, while “Suicide Note” sits at No. 45, “Vanish” featuring Dexta Daps at No. 93, “Boasty” at No. 98 and “Umbrella” at No. 195.
The early numbers add another layer to a pivotal period for Masicka, who has positioned Forever Reign as a statement of longevity. The album features Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, BlaqBonez, Kraff Gad and Lila Iké, and arrives just one day before Masicka headlines Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. With his latest project leading the U.S. reggae chart while his back catalogue continues to attract attention, Masicka’s Forever Reign era is already shaping up as one of the defining moments of his career.
