Spice is rewriting the rules of dancehall in 2026. The reigning queen has kicked off the year with her first secular single, “Soft Girl Era,” which has already stormed the iTunes Reggae Songs Chart, securing No. 1 in six markets, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Italy, Antigua & Barbuda, and the Cayman Islands. In a bold pivot from her shock-value persona, the track celebrates feminine energy, gentle self-love, and confidence that feels effortless yet unapologetic.

The single marks a softer, more introspective side of Spice, exploring confidence that doesn’t need to shout to be felt. “Besties, my first dancehall song for 2026… and guess what? ‘It’s not about my Pum Pum’ LOL. This season is about loving myself gently and embracing my feminine energy in the softest way possible,” she shared via Instagram. The retro-inspired visuals echo this new chapter, with Spice rocking a green throwback look in front of a classic car, radiating effortless confidence. “With Soft Girl Era, I wanted to show that confidence can be soft, sultry, and unapologetic all at once,” she explained.

The rollout, handled independently through Spice Official Entertainment, reflects a strategic, intentional approach—emphasising artistry and personal evolution. Fans familiar with her past eras know Spice as the ultimate bar-for-bar queen; now, she’s proving that softness can be just as commanding.

Meanwhile, her international accolades continue to pile up. Go Down Deh has officially been certified Silver by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), recognising over 200,000 units in combined sales and streaming equivalents. This milestone follows her earlier UK Silver for So Mi Like It and builds on a career marked by global Platinum and Gold certifications. Spice’s ability to merge commercial success with personal reinvention reinforces her status as a genre-defining artist whose reach extends far beyond Jamaica.

As she embraces what she calls ‘The Month of Grace’—a symbolic reset of faith, growth, and fearless reinvention—fans are witnessing a new side of Spice: reflective yet commanding, soft yet unshakeable. With a gospel-inspired release God Don’t Play About Me already teasing this transformative season, 2026 promises to be one of her most defining chapters yet.
