Kraff’s Management Issues Official Statement After Withdrawal from New York’s Galiday Bounce

Galiday Bounce, the highly anticipated New Year’s Eve dancehall event scheduled for December 31 at Club Amazura in Queens, New York, has been officially postponed following a public contractual dispute between the event’s promoter and the management team of dancehall artiste Kraff. The postponement, announced on the eve of the event, has sparked intense debate online after both sides issued sharply contrasting statements regarding payments, promotion, and logistics.

The controversy erupted when promoter Galdiez Mendez took to social media on Wednesday, accusing the Sinna hitmaker of failing to meet promotional obligations, despite allegedly receiving advance funds. In an emotional video, Mendez claimed he had already spent approximately US$59,000 on the event, including hotels and production costs, and demanded the return of nearly US$21,786, which he said was paid towards Kraff’s performance. Mendez further alleged that Kraff did not properly promote Galiday Bounce on his platforms, arguing that this undermined ticket sales and the overall visibility of the show.

However, Kraff’s management team, Mego & Showtime Services, strongly refuted those claims in a detailed official statement, confirming that the artist would no longer be performing at the event. According to management, the promoter failed to meet key contractual obligations, including full payment of the deposit and booking fee, settling the final balance due on December 24, and securing approved flights, accommodations, transportation, and per diems. They also rejected assertions that the performance was ever agreed to as a benefit concert, stating that this characterisation only surfaced in media coverage a day before the event.

“Kraff and his team take professionalism seriously and will not compromise on safety, travel logistics, or production standards,” the statement read, adding that proceeding with the show would have required the artist to personally fund travel and perform without receiving the agreed balance. Management further noted that although only US$19,400 was received across fragmented transactions, promotional support was still provided in good faith. Ticket holders have been advised to contact the promoter or their point of purchase regarding refunds, while Kraff has expressed his intention to return to New York under the “right circumstances,” bringing this high-profile standoff to a tense but measured close.
