Released on May 1 via Easy Star Records, Supernova marks another bold creative leap for Runkus, whose genre-bending approach has steadily earned him recognition both locally and internationally. The recognition places Runkus in elite company. Other albums featured on Billboard’s mid-year best list include Drake’s Iceman, Bruno Mars’ The Romantic, BTS’ Arirang, Harry Styles’ Kiss All the Time. Disco Occasionally and Jill Scott’s To Whom It May Concern. Notably, Supernova stands as the only Jamaican reggae project included on the prestigious list so far this year, adding another milestone to what has already been a strong period for Caribbean music on the global stage.
