Flippa Moggela and his three co-accused are now facing a pivotal 60-day period in their federal drug conspiracy case after all parties signalled their intention to pursue plea negotiations with U.S. prosecutors. The development comes as federal authorities continue to build their case using wiretap surveillance, intercepted communications, and alleged digital evidence linked to cloud-based accounts in an investigation involving cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl distribution. A federal judge has approved the temporary suspension of speedy trial requirements, setting July 11 as the next court date as both sides attempt to reach a possible agreement that could avoid a full trial.
The accused—Andrew Davis, Damion Jones, James McBride, and Clifford Brown—are all now formally engaged in discussions that could reshape the trajectory of the high-profile case. Court filings confirm that each defendant independently requested additional time to negotiate with federal prosecutors, a move that signals active settlement talks behind the scenes. Meanwhile, Judge Ann Marie Donio granted the joint request, effectively opening a structured window for plea discussions to unfold.
The case, which has been under federal scrutiny since August 2025, alleges a coordinated multi-state drug trafficking operation. Prosecutors claim the group operated within a structured network involving the distribution of multiple controlled substances, supported by surveillance operations and digital intelligence gathering. All four defendants are also reported to have prior drug-related convictions, adding further weight to the prosecution’s positioning.
Flippa Moggela, also known as Flippa Mafia and the Flossing King, has remained under parole supervision since a previous 2016 conviction, with co-accused also carrying prior records. While no plea agreement has been reached at this stage, the current 60-day negotiation window is expected to be decisive in determining whether the matter proceeds to trial or concludes through settlement. The next major update is expected in court on July 11, where the outcome of the negotiations will likely be reviewed.
