Jamaican songbird Sevana says her long-awaited debut album will be unapologetically honest, promising a deeply personal project shaped by emotional truth and lived experiences. The Westmoreland-born vocalist revealed that the upcoming release, expected later this year, will finally allow her to tell her story fully through music. The announcement comes as she prepares to perform at the renowned New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival this April, where she will introduce global audiences to the next phase of her musical journey.

After more than a decade in the industry, Sevana explained that her catalogue remains intentionally small, with roughly 20 songs released across her entire recording career. She noted that this gives her the opportunity to carefully shape the narrative of her artistry as she moves into album mode. The forthcoming project is expected to feature between 10 and 12 tracks and will draw from personal reflections, life experiences, and the emotional depth that has become a hallmark of her songwriting.

Sevana said her goal is to craft a sonic story that reflects her life authentically and without compromise. According to the singer, the album will be rooted in honesty and introspection, offering supporters a clearer view of who she is as both an artist and a person. She also emphasised that the project must look, feel, and sound exactly as she imagines it, signalling a strong commitment to creative control and artistic integrity.

The album arrives during a period of growing international momentum for the Brand New singer, following sold-out stops on her Need Me UK tour and performances across the Caribbean and North America. As she prepares for her first visit to New Orleans and a major appearance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Sevana appears focused less on chasing visibility and more on building a meaningful body of work that reflects her journey and resonates with listeners worldwide.
