Fresh off his Grammy triumph, Keznamdi is generating renewed global attention after being spotted in Atlanta in conversation with multi-platinum American rapper and author Russ, fuelling speculation about a possible cross-genre collaboration. The moment comes as the Jamaican reggae singer experiences a notable uptick, with demand climbing rapidly for his recently announced upcoming concerts in Los Angeles and New York.

Sources close to the camp confirm Keznamdi was in Atlanta working on multiple projects, though details remain tightly guarded. However, the timing has only intensified interest. In a recent interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music, the artiste reflected on his early career, highlighting Los Angeles and New York as two cities that embraced his sound and the first to host sold-out shows. Now, in a full-circle moment, he is set to return this May with a pair of performances at Hotel Café in Los Angeles and S.O.B.’s in New York City.

Industry insiders reveal that the response has been immediate and emphatic. “Since we announced the tickets for Keznamdi’s two shows, we have seen over 50% in sales for both venues, and the uptick is strong,” an agent aligned with the campaign shared anonymously. “Based on how things are looking, both could be sold out before the actual concerts.” The figures point to a growing appetite for contemporary reggae on the global stage, with Keznamdi positioned as one of the frontrunners of that movement.

Meanwhile, the momentum continues to build. The Kingston-born talent has also secured two nominations at the International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA), including Best Album for Blxxd & Fyah and Best Song for Forever Grateful, his collaboration with Masicka. As streaming numbers climb and his international footprint expands, Keznamdi’s trajectory signals a defining moment for modern reggae—one that could soon bridge even wider audiences if the Russ connection materialises into music.
