Fresh momentum continues for Armanii, who has been named the first-ever Caribbean Rookie of the Month by Billboard—a milestone moment that signals his rapid evolution from regional hitmaker to one of dancehall’s most promising global breakout acts. The recognition follows his standout appearance at Webster Hall during Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Power Players Week, where the Kingston-born newcomer drew one of the earliest crowd reactions of the night with unreleased material, even as audiences anticipated performances tied to acts such as Leon Thomas and Ravyn Lenae.
The moment reflects the expanding global reach of Armanii’s debut album, The Impact, released via UnitedMasters. The 15-track project showcases his genre-blending style, moving effortlessly between melodic dancehall, R&B textures and Afrobeats-inspired rhythms. Standout collaborations include “Balcony” featuring Jada Kingdom, while inspirational cuts like “Champion” underline his versatility. Billboard has already placed the project among its best Caribbean albums of 2025, further cementing the young artist’s upward trajectory.
Hailing from Kingston, Armanii—born Armani Givenchy Moodie—credits his musical foundation to early exposure in the industry, including time spent around his uncle, Grammy-winning dancehall icon Beenie Man. That early immersion helped shape his performance instincts and artistic direction. His steady rise began with projects like Metamorphosis, Nostalgic and No Signal, alongside viral regional hits that strengthened his fanbase across the Caribbean diaspora in cities such as New York and London.
With a deluxe edition of The Impact set for release on March 27, led by the new single “Fulla Gyal,” Armanii continues to position himself at the forefront of dancehall’s next generation. As international audiences respond to his melodic sound and crossover appeal, the Rookie of the Month honour marks not just a career milestone—but a clear signal that his global moment is only just beginning.
