With Govana and Kabaka Pyramid among a powerful circle of collaborators lending their voices to the journey, reggae singer-songwriter Ras-I is stepping confidently into his next artistic chapter. The roots-reggae standard-bearer has announced his third studio album, Heart of Love, set for worldwide release on May 15, positioning the project as both a personal statement and a spiritual offering rooted in reggae tradition.
The 13-track album, now available for pre-save across all major streaming platforms, explores love in its widest sense — romantic, spiritual, ancestral, communal and self-reflective. Sonically, Heart of Love balances classic reggae foundations with contemporary Afro-Caribbean and soul influences, continuing Ras-I’s reputation for conscious, emotionally grounded music. “This album is about the kind of love that sustains you,” Ras-I shared. “The love that grounds you through challenges, connects you to purpose, and reminds you of who you are, even in dark times. Heart of Love is that vibration.”
A major talking point is the album’s powerful collaborative line-up. Kabaka Pyramid, Govana, Khalia and Nesta each appear across the project, adding lyrical weight and sonic versatility while reinforcing Ras-I’s standing among reggae and dancehall’s most respected voices. Fans were first introduced to the Heart of Love era through the uplifting single Reggae Mountain, a celebration of reggae’s unifying and spiritual force. Upcoming singles Forever and Always and These Are The Days are set to further define the album’s emotional arc ahead of release.
Heart of Love follows Ras-I’s earlier projects Tsojourna (2019) and Kingman (2021), building on a steady rise that has seen him earn JaRIA’s Song of the Year for Somewhere Wonderful in 2023 and Best New Reggae Artist at the Caribbean Music Awards in 2024. With international festival appearances spanning Reggae Sumfest, Rebel Salute, Reggae Sunsplash, City Splash and SXSW London, Ras-I now looks to expand his global reach — while remaining firmly rooted in reggae’s cultural and spiritual core.
