In an official statement issued on December 12, organisers described the response to Chronic Law’s Toronto return as “record-breaking,” noting an unprecedented surge in ticket demand. Acting on guidance from community health and safety partners, the decision was taken collectively by the artist, management, producers and security stakeholders to postpone the event in the best interest of patrons. “The safety, well-being, and overall experience of our supporters had to come first,” the release stated, while extending gratitude to Toronto fans whose support continues to elevate Caribbean culture worldwide.
Rather than slowing momentum, the postponement has opened a bigger door. Chronic Law is now set to return in 2026 with a landmark Canadian tour, featuring major stops in Toronto, Montreal and Calgary — a first in his career. The announcement also acknowledged the support of Canadian authorities, including CBSA, IRCC and Peel Regional Police, for facilitating cultural access and collaboration throughout the process.
