Vybz Kartel’s highly anticipated visit to Africa may be edging closer, with Kenya and Ghana emerging as the two most likely destinations for the dancehall star’s next historic performances. Fresh off sold-out shows in London and ahead of his Manchester assignment on Wednesday, the Portmore native has turned his attention to the continent, igniting both fan frenzy and official negotiations. While Kenyan supporters are flooding social media demanding his arrival, Ghana’s authorities are already deep in talks to stage a potential December concert at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The strongest push came from Kenya after Kartel surprised fans during a TikTok Live by declaring, “Tell the Kenyan promoters that I am ready to come home.” His words sent supporters into overdrive, urging local event organisers to seize the moment and bring him to Nairobi. If it materialises, it would mark Kartel’s first show in Kenya and a symbolic “homecoming” for the artist, who openly refers to the East African nation as home.

“For Vybz Kartel, what I can say is that there has been engagement, there’s been contact for the concert in December” – NSA Boss

In contrast, Ghana’s efforts are more structured and advanced. The Director General of the National Sports Authority, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, confirmed that Kartel’s team has formally approached the body regarding a massive December show at the Accra Sports Stadium. “NSA and Vybz Kartel team continue to make progress in talks over potential December blockbuster show in Accra,” he revealed, noting that security, scheduling, and infrastructure needs are all under review before a final decision.

Together, these developments point to Africa as the next major frontier for Kartel’s “Worl’ Boss Tour.” After reclaiming his freedom and storming arenas across the United States and Europe, the artist now stands at the threshold of expanding his global takeover to the continent where demand for his music has only grown during his absence. For fans in both Kenya and Ghana, the anticipation is no longer if but when the Worl’ Boss will touch down.
