American singer Rielle has taken her Caribbean-inspired hit Sail Away to a new level, recruiting dancehall powerhouse Busy Signal for a sizzling remix that’s already generating major buzz. “It was an absolute honour and triumph to collaborate with Busy,” Rielle shared during an interview with Buck and Regg on Connecticut’s Hot 93.7FM, underscoring the magnitude of the moment. With its feel-good rhythms and tropical escapism, she believes the track is more than just a single—it’s “the perfect record” to represent Brand Jamaica. And judging by the surge in international radio adds and streaming traction, she may be right.
The remix, officially released on June 20, 2025, was co-produced by Christopher Birch (Birchill Records) and Mark Pinnock’s Natural Bridge imprint, two industry veterans with longstanding ties to the dancehall scene. According to Pinnock, the collaboration came together seamlessly: “It wasn’t really hard because both producers have previously worked with Busy, which made the process smoother. Plus, he really liked the record, which made it that much easier.” That mutual admiration sealed the deal, with Rielle praising Busy’s professionalism and work ethic.
Sail Away has already proven its potential as more than a passing hit. The original version, a sun-soaked ode to Jamaica’s warmth and serenity, received co-signs from industry giants like Busta Rhymes, Mims, Gyptian, Mr. Vegas, and Birch himself, who hailed Rielle as “a breath of fresh air.” Urban and rhythmic radio in the U.S. have also embraced the record, with multiple stations adding it to their mix show rotations.
As anticipation builds for an official remix video—set to be shot in Jamaica—the remix cements Rielle’s position as more than just an outsider dabbling in Caribbean culture. She’s a genuine student of the genre, seamlessly blending pop, reggae, dancehall, and R&B to create a crossover sound that feels both authentic and global. With Jamaica’s music royalty in her corner and a growing catalogue of culturally rooted content, Rielle is not only earning respect—she’s earning her place.
