Multi-hyphenated music producer and dancehall artiste Jayds on Wednesday premiered the official video for Beast, the lead single and title track from his forthcoming EP, slated for release this summer. The gritty street anthem, which delves into the challenges of street life, has already racked up over 146,000 views on YouTube in just two days and continues to gain traction among his growing fan base.
Beast also marks Jayds’s first official release for the year, following a hectic start to 2025. The 4th Genna deejay explained that the delay in new material was due to his demanding schedule, which included touring alongside Aidonia across North America, Europe, and the Caribbean. He also delivered a commendable set at Aidonia’s 20th Anniversary celebration at the UBS Arena in New York and has been working assiduously on several collaborative projects with his camp associates, including Govana.
Speaking with Prism Marketing Consultants about the upcoming EP, Jayds noted, “It will be a breath of fresh air—experimenting with new styles, cadences, and topics,” adding that fans will get a greater appreciation of his musical genius after listening to the full project. The 7-track set, executively produced by Haunted Music, features contributions from producers such as One Time, 9 Miles Records, Mario T3M, Top Alone, Cashflow Rinse, Banga House Music, 18YearsOld, and Jerusalem Music, the latter spearheaded by Gerry Digital.
Distributed by 21st Hapilos, the EP explores themes of street life, debauchery, money, friendship, and loyalty. Jayds is expected to depart the island in the days ahead for an assignment in the U.S. Virgin Islands with Aidonia, before jetting off to New York for Bounty Killer’s highly anticipated concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
