Dancehall superstar Sean Paul is set to light up the UK stage once again, this time alongside R&B songstress Ashanti, in what promises to be one of the most exciting tours of the season. The ‘Bring It’ UK Tour kicks off in Belfast on April 9 and will run through twelve cities, culminating in Bournemouth on April 24. Adding star power to the mix, hip-hop heavyweight Fat Joe is confirmed to make a special appearance during the London leg, promising fans a cross-genre explosion of dancehall, R&B, and hip-hop nostalgia.

“Three hit artistes,” Sean Paul said of the lineup. “Three successful people who have been on the charts and have been proving themselves year after year to be artistes that fans look up to and look forward to music from. Fans can look forward to a show packed with energy and just full of love.” Known for his stellar performances, the Grammy-winning artist will be backed by a live band, dancers, and a DJ, performing classics like Gimme the Light, Temperature, and Get Busy—tracks that helped catapult dancehall into the global mainstream.

The tour comes at a momentous time in Sean Paul’s career. On the heels of his viral remix collaboration with South African pop star Tyla on Push 2 Start, the track’s music video racked up over 8.3 million YouTube views since its March 3 release. The single has also earned the duo a nomination for Best Music Video (South Africa) at the upcoming 2025 Urban Music Awards, set to take place in Pretoria on May 4. Tyla, who recently made history as the first African solo artist to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify, leads the pack with seven nominations, including Artist of the Year (South Africa) and International Artist of the Year (Africa).

Sean Paul remains one of the most streamed Jamaican artists of all time, with multiple singles surpassing the billion-stream mark across platforms—Temperature, Rockabye, Cheap Thrills, and No Lie among them. His global influence has helped solidify dancehall’s place on the world stage, with Billboard noting in a 2023 touring report that dancehall and reggae-inspired acts experienced a 19% surge in ticket sales year-over-year, driven by nostalgia and cross-genre collaborations. “Performance, for me, is a way to connect to my audience,” Sean Paul said. “It is a direct connection with my current fanbase and a way to create new fan networks.”

With new singles like Nah Follow Dem and a fresh release with Romanian pop star INNA titled Let it Talk to Me, as well as the recent drop of his Dutty Showtime Riddim under his Dutty Rock label, Sean Paul continues to evolve while keeping the heart of dancehall beating loud. This tour isn’t just a concert series—it’s a celebration of cultural crossover, timeless hits, and the continued reign of one of Jamaica’s most prolific musical exports.
