Reggae singer Bugle is hitting all the right notes in 2025, racking up four major nominations at this year’s Caribbean Music Awards (CMA), a testament to his unwavering consistency and relevance in the genre. His soulful anthem Thank You Lord, featuring reggae titans Buju Banton and Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, has earned nods in three key categories: Song of the Year – Reggae, Collaboration of the Year – Reggae, and Video of the Year – Reggae/Dancehall. The single, which has now surpassed 4.3 million views on YouTube since its November 2024 release, also helped secure a nomination for Apex, his fifth studio album, in the prestigious Album of the Year – Reggae category.

“To see the song and video connect with so many people is truly humbling,” Bugle previously said, reflecting on the runaway success of Thank You Lord. The track, praised for its introspective lyrics and spiritual energy, dominated reggae charts and is now cementing its place among the year’s most impactful releases. The CMA, now in its third edition, continues to spotlight Caribbean excellence across the diaspora, attracting over 250,000 public votes and drawing from a diverse pool of artists, producers, and industry professionals.

Bugle’s CMA success follows closely on the heels of his nomination for Best Album/CD at the 42nd International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA), held in March 2025 in Florida. At that prestigious ceremony, he shared the spotlight with icons such as Vybz Kartel, Shenseea, and Collie Buddz. His critically acclaimed Apex album, released via An9ted Entertainment in August 2024, debuted at No. 2 on the iTunes U.K. Reggae Albums Chart and No. 11 in the U.S., and features powerhouse collaborations with Barrington Levy, Capleton, Maxi Priest, and Damian Marley.

Even as accolades roll in, Bugle isn’t resting. He recently released Consequences, the title track of a new rhythm compilation produced by CD Master and released under the Inna Mi House Music label. The project, distributed by OneRPM, showcases Bugle’s versatility and lyrical depth as he continues to deliver socially conscious music that resonates globally. Fans can also look forward to seeing him live this summer as he headlines the highly anticipated return of California’s Reggae on the River festival from August 1–3, alongside Julian Marley and Keznamdi.

As Bugle’s momentum builds, so does his impact on modern reggae. “Music is my way of sharing messages that uplift and inspire,” he affirms. With multiple award nominations, hit singles, and major live performances lined up, 2025 is shaping up to be a defining year for the artist who has long championed message-driven reggae.
