Celebrity fashion stylist and designer Orrett McKenzie, better known as “Mr Vaunter” from the Vaunter collective, made a significant splash in Kingston, Jamaica, last week. Attending the launch of Bugle’s fifth studio album, Apex, held at ‘Di Lot,’ McKenzie brought the perfect blend of style and culture to the event. Alongside Bugle, one of Vaunter’s brand ambassadors, McKenzie premiered several pieces from his urban fall collection, sparking buzz and excitement among attendees.

The New York-based Jamaican designer carefully selected pieces for the launch that reflected the island’s current fashion trends. His booth showcased an array of stylish apparel, instantly resonating with the crowd, and achieving impressive sales throughout the night. McKenzie expressed his gratitude for the warm reception, saying, “The launch was well-organized and executed, and it was a pleasure to witness Bugle’s amazing presentation. I also enjoyed the camaraderie between the other artists in attendance. As for the Vaunter collection, the pieces we chose to debut in Jamaica were well received, converting into several sales. Thank you, Bugle, the team, and my Jamaican people for the warm reception.”

The Vaunter urban fall collection boasts a variety of apparel, including caps, bags, belts, shirts, jogger sets, pullovers, and suits, designed for both men and women. Known for its urban flair and tailored edge, the line is set to be available on Vaunter’s official website, with plans to expand into shoes and other accessories. Since its inception in 2006, the Vaunter brand has grown steadily, with McKenzie dressing stars like Bounty Killer, Kabaka Pyramid, Jah Vinci, Bugle, Munga Honourable, Jahmiel and many more across the Caribbean diaspora.

McKenzie’s career continues to thrive as he establishes himself as a cutting-edge stylist with a flair for Jamaican-inspired designs. Based in Brooklyn, his work fuses streetwear aesthetics with high fashion, offering a unique look for individuals who want to stand out. “Vaunter is about empowering people to embrace their individuality through fashion,” McKenzie explained, “I believe in styling people in a way that reflects who they are, which is why our designs feel effortless yet classy.”

His bold vision and commitment to personal expression have made him a standout in the fashion industry, attracting influencers and celebrities alike. McKenzie’s presence at the Apex launch not only elevated the event’s fashion quotient but also solidified his place as one of the leading stylists in both the reggae and hip-hop communities.
