Boom Dandimite, a beloved figure within the industry, died on May 21, 2023, in a U.S. hospital following complications from injuries sustained in a serious car accident in Kingston, Jamaica. His funeral, held on July 2, 2023, at the Penwood Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Waterhouse, St Andrew, was a poignant affair. Mourners paid their respects to the artist whose transparent casket allowed for a final farewell. The service saw the attendance of notable figures such as Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Stacious, General B, Harry Toddler, and Joe Bogdanovich of Downsounds Entertainment, underlining the significant loss felt by the community.
During the service, Harry Toddler and Joe Bogdanovich shared genuine reflections on Boom Dandimite’s life and influence.
