Bay-C, a prominent figure in the dancehall community and former member of the renowned quartet TOK is counting his blessings after surviving a harrowing car accident. The incident occurred on Wednesday night in Irish Town, St. Andrew when his red Toyota motorcar overturned. Miraculously, Bay-C emerged from the wreckage without serious injury.
Though the cause of the accident remains unclear, the deejay took to Instagram to chronicle the ordeal with his followers. In a video post showing his car flipped upside down, he expressed profound gratitude for escaping unscathed.
“Had a close one yesterday. Jah put an angel over me 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿. Last night was probably the scariest night ever, but thanks to the Most High I crawled out of a capsized vehicle unscathed. Shaken up but also extremely grateful for things not taking a turn for the worse, I feel like I’ve been given a second chance on life. My mission is not completed as yet,” he wrote.
The post quickly garnered a swell of support and well wishes from friends and the broader entertainment community, all relieved to see him unharmed. This show of solidarity underscores the somewhat tight-knit nature of the dancehall community.
This incident comes at a pivotal time for Bay-C, who recently released a collaborative album, “Flawless Victory,” with compatriot Xyclone. The duo has been actively promoting the album internationally. Despite the recent scare, Bay-C remains focused on his mission, grateful for the opportunity to continue his journey in music.
