Despite facing detractors, dancehall artist and music producer Jayds remains steadfast in advancing his career in the new year. Following his notable participation in Aidonia’s ‘Frsh Drop Tour 2023,’ spanning North America and the Caribbean, Jayds has embarked on several new projects heading into the Easter season.
His latest endeavour includes the ‘Dress Code Riddim,’ co-produced by his own Haunted Music in collaboration with Banger House Music. Featuring contributions from Aidonia, Mavado, Jayds, Vanessa Bling, and Posh Morris, this rhythm compilation showcases his versatility. Moreover, Jayds played a significant role in Aidonia’s ‘Occupied Minds‘ project, serving as both a recording engineer and producer. Notably, he produced six tracks on the compilation, including standouts like ‘Socrates,’ ‘Tempted,’ ‘Hell Raise,’ ‘We Doh Regular‘ and ‘Run It Up.’
Transitioning into 2024, Jayds has released the visual for ‘Echo,’ the lead single from his eagerly anticipated 10-track compendium, ‘Wet Dreams: Volume 3,’ tailored for female audiences. Scheduled for release later this year, the project promises to showcase Jayds’ artistic prowess. Additionally, he is collaborating with artists such as Jahvinci, Mavado, iWaata, and Tanso, on another forthcoming project.
Last year, Jayds garnered attention from industry heavyweights like Grammy-winning producer Zaytoven and rapper GAME, affirming his talent and dedication. As a pivotal member of the Aidonia-led 4th Genna Music collective, Jayds is focused on strategic manoeuvres to elevate his presence in the industry.
Beyond his musical endeavours, Jayds has expanded his influence on the corporate stage, securing the role of brand ambassador for Campari. This partnership and previous ambassadorships with Lion Pride Jamaica and So Chill underscore his status as a sought-after personality in the entertainment realm, further solidifying his multifaceted career trajectory.
