Fans are lauding dancehall luminary Demarco for his latest release, “Service Bull,” an infectious anthem aimed at celebrating women in the dancehall space. Released on Friday afternoon with an official music video accompaniment, the track has sparked enthusiasm among dancehall fanatics, who see it as a refreshing return to the genre’s roots.
The resurgence of such music, commonly referred to as “gyal songs,” signifies a shift from the dominance of violent, aggressive and chapping lyrical content that has characterized the dancehall scene in recent times. Fans have expressed their delight at the prospect of a more enjoyable and vibrant atmosphere at social gatherings, thanks to songs like “Service Bull.”

Speaking with Prism Marketing Consultants, Demarco expressed his satisfaction with the positive feedback the project has garnered. He emphasized the importance of creating music that caters to female audiences, believing that dancehall needs a variety of themes to flourish.
“The people dem a talk, and we see the girls dem a get active again, so yuh know we’re on the right track. Dancehall needs every type of music, but right now, we need fi a do more songs fi the ladies dem.”
“Service Bull,” produced by Nine 9 Records and NSG Records, features Demarco’s vocals and showcases his talent as a beatmaker of the uptempo instrumental. The track also introduces emerging talent Sgee Vehnom.
Coming off a successful performance at the Pre-Central American Independence celebrations in New York City, Demarco continues to maintain a high level of production output. In the coming weeks, plans are afoot to unveil several new projects, including official videos for “Bruk It Off” and “So Much Hate,” the latter produced by Natural Bond Entertainment.
