Africa Unite, the majestic posthumous album by Bob Marley, celebrates the fusion of Reggae and Afrobeats.

This extraordinary album, scheduled for release on August 4, 2023, features inspiring collaborations between Marley’s classics and a stellar lineup of contemporary African musicians. Artists like Sarkodie, Tiwa Savage, Teni, and Oxlade lend their unique artistry to the ten-track masterpiece, paying tribute to Marley’s enduring influence while infusing his iconic compositions with their refreshing voices.

Bob Marley’s impact on Reggae and Afrobeats music culture knows no bounds, transcending borders and generations. Africa Unite invites listeners on an enchanting musical journey, seamlessly blending the heartfelt renditions of Marley’s greatest hits, such as “Waiting In Vain” and “Stir It Up,” with the infectious energy of Afrobeats. The album announcement is accompanied by the release of the lead single, a captivating Afro-fusion rendition of “Three Little Birds” performed by Nigeria’s rising stars, Teni and Oxlade.

Africa Unite not only showcases the global reach of Marley’s music but also celebrates the rich tapestry of African rhythms and melodies. By merging Reggae’s soulful vibrations with the energetic essence of Afrobeats, the album embodies unity and collaboration, echoing Marley’s vision of a harmonious world. Bob Marley’s daughter, Cedella Marley, emphasizes the album’s significance, highlighting her father’s importance in modern-day Africa, with artists reimagining his classics in a way he would have loved.

Bob Marley’s profound contributions to Reggae earned him a posthumous induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. With Africa Unite, his influence continues to resonate, bridging the gap between the past and present.
