Lil Durk is preparing to unleash his highly anticipated album, “Almost Healed,” which is scheduled to be released on May 26. Recently, the Chicago emcee caused a stir when he shared a conversation he had with 6ix9ine regarding a potential fight in Dubai with a substantial cash prize at stake.
In an Instagram DM, the 30-year-old talent expressed his concern for 6ix9ine’s well-being, stating, “I don’t want you hurt or dead. You’re a kid from the burbs.” Durk then made a bold proposition, revealing that he had $50 million of his own money and was willing to fight 6ix9ine on TV in Dubai. He suggested doubling the prize money and arranging the match for September, urging 6ix9ine to consult his wealthy associates. Durk emphasized the need to put an end to violence.
In response, the “STOOPID” rapper believed that Durk’s intentions were merely a part of his album promotion. He jested, “It’s so funny because I know you’re on an album press run. You need anything to promote this album since NBA YoungBoy isn’t taking the bait.”
Durk swiftly corrected the misunderstanding, affirming that his primary goal was to engage in a physical altercation with 6ix9ine, regardless of sales figures. Undeterred, he posted a screenshot of the conversation and reiterated his plea in the caption, calling for an end to violence and offering $50 million of his own money for a safe boxing match in Dubai. He addressed 6ix9ine as “migo” and proposed September as the time to settle their differences.
“Almost Healed” will serve as the official follow-up to Durk’s successful 2022 solo album, “7220,” which featured notable collaborations with Future, Summer Walker, and other talented artists. The album included hits like “What Happened To Virgil” featuring Gunna and “Broadway Girls” featuring Morgan Wallen. Additionally, Durk released the “Loyal Bros 2” compilation, a collaborative project by Only The Family, which featured acclaimed collaborators such as Kodak Black and Lil Zay Osama.
