Dancehall artiste Aidonia, who recently returned to the local music scene, has announced that he will embark on a five-city tour in the United States this summer.
The revelation was made on Tuesday via social media. Dubbed “Frsh Drop Tour 2023“, the exploits will see the 4th Genna head honcho making several stops throughout the U.S. eastern seaboard, with his first assignment on June 11th at the New York edition of Sandz Festival. Other stops along the tour include Connecticut on July 29th, Atlanta on August 12th, the DMV on the 13th and culminating on September 16th in Miami, Florida.
Fans of the entertainer reacted positively to the news, with some even querying about additional dates and locations.
Frsh Drop Tour 2023 will mark the first time in over three years since Aidonia has performed live in the U.S. due to the pandemic and other travel impediments.
On a more sombre note, last Sunday, the deejay bid farewell to his long-time friend and senior security detail Calis Carlington Bowen, more popularly known as “Bigga 5.”Â
Bigga 5Â died last month of undisclosed health complications and was laid to rest at the Kings S.D.A Church in Mount Salem, St. James, with interment at the Dovecot Memorial Park, Orange District, St. James.
His sudden passing plunged the camp and segments of the entertainment fraternity into mourning, with many still in disbelief. Known for his cheerful persona, Bigga 5 will be sincerely missed by those whose lives he impacted.
