The collaborative effort, ‘Us’, featuring Rastafarian crooner Bugle and eclectic singer GiHRL, is gaining traction since its release on Friday, March 17.
On Saturday, the single debuted at No.117 on Norway’s Apple Music Reggae Single Chart amidst continued competition from several industry heavyweights. The chart is currently dominated by Sean Paul and Dua Lipa, holding the No.1 spot with ‘No Lie’, while Reggae icon Bob Marley follows closely at No.2 with his iconic single ‘Could You Be Loved’. The official video on Youtube has garnered over 118,000 views within ten days of its premiere.
Bugle, one of the industry’s most prolific singers and songwriters, expressed satisfaction with the steady progress and support the record has been receiving. He acknowledged the positive feedback and overwhelming support, especially from the ladies, hinting that he might explore more love songs in the future.
“It’s only ten days since we release the song, and already the feedback has been very positive; the support is great, especially from the ladies. I think I need to sing more love songs,” he nonchalantly declared to Prism Marketing Consultants.
The above statement holds some truth as two of his most successful records, namely ‘Nuh Compatible‘ and ‘Infidelity‘ featuring Lady Saw, are centred around relationship issues.
Renowned for his thought-provoking compositions, Bugle showcases his versatility on ‘Us‘ and delivers a masterfully curated composition complemented by GiHRL’s silky vocals. The visual directed by Damaniac Visualz captures the chemistry between the two artists, despite the relationship hurdles they face.
‘Us‘ is a joint effort produced by 324 New Empire Records and An9ted Entertainment, distributed by Switzerland-based Evidence Music, and available on all major digital and streaming platforms.
