Last Sunday, the 16th annual Jazz In The Gardens (JITG) festival saw thousands of music lovers flock to South Florida’s Hard Rock Stadium to witness a star-studded lineup, including renowned Jamaican dancehall superstar Sean Paul, who delivered an exciting performance.
The festival, hosted by comedian Deon Cole, began as a parking lot concert initiated by former Miami Gardens Mayor Shirley Gibson, aimed at bringing top-notch jazz and R&B performances to the city. It has since become an internationally recognized music festival, showcasing various genres and cuisines from across the African diaspora.
JITG provides a family-friendly environment, allowing festivalgoers to enjoy delicious food and drinks from various local vendors. This year’s stellar lineup included Jill Scott, Jodeci, Ari Lennox, El DeBarge, Adam Blackstone & The Legacy Experience on Saturday, and Erykah Badu, Charlie “Uncle Charlie” Wilson, Keyshia Cole, and Phillips on Sunday. JITG has become a platform that showcases talented artists and diverse cultural experiences, making it one of the most popular music festivals in the world.
Meanwhile, as April draws near, fans of live music are eagerly anticipating the return of the Dreamville Festival 2023 hosted by J.Cole. The festival will take place on April 1 and 2 at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh, North Carolina, and will feature an expanded lineup of top-tier performers, including Sean Paul, who will bring his unique flavour to day one of the festivities.
The day’s events will culminate in a performance by Grammy-winning singer Usher, with additional performances from Lil Durk, Ari Lennox, City Girls, EarthGang, Jessie Reyez, and Key Glock, among others.
The Dreamville Festival 2023 promises to be an unforgettable experience for music lovers of all genres.
