Bronx rapper Nas EBK and former boyfriend of Jamaican songbird Jada Kingdom is in trouble with the law again, this time for a second-degree murder charge.
The 22-year-old, whose given name is Nasir Valenzuela, is accused of fatally shooting Idressa Siby on February 9th in Times Square following an argument that turned violent. Nas EBK, who was previously arrested for terroristic threats, took to social media to deny the accusations against him, posting on Instagram,
“INNOCENT!! ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME !!! BE HOME SOON !! FREE DA GUYS !!”
This latest arrest comes less than a month after Nas EBK was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals for his involvement in a YouTube prank video that went too far. In the video, Nas EBK and his friend Buba100x were seen acting confrontational and threatening shoppers and employees at a local ShopRite. At one point, EBK snatched an employee’s hat before threatening him. “Walk toward me again and I’ll violate you,” he can be heard saying. The incident resulted in several charges, including possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, simple assault, terroristic threats, and disorderly conduct.
Nas EBK’s recent run-ins with the law have raised concerns about his behaviour and the company he keeps. He is currently being held in Bergen County Jail, awaiting trial for his latest charge.
