The Afro Nation Music Festival has recently announced the addition of some big names to its already star-studded lineup, promising an even more thrilling experience on the sunny Portuguese coast.
“Afro Nation festival returns this summer to sun-kissed Portimão, Portugal, armed with a lineup thrilling enough to make the trip,” said a spokesperson.
The festival, which will take place at Praia Da Rocha Beach in Portimao, The Algarve, will feature an impressive roster of performers; among the new additions, are dancehall star Popcaan, Afrobeat superstars Wizkid, Davido, Focalistic and Little Simz.
The newly added acts will be hitting the summer stage for the return of Afro Nation Portugal, while headliners Burna Boy, 50 Cent, and Booba will be tasked with getting the party started.
In a statement about the addition, Afro Nation Portugal organizers said, “We are excited to welcome Wizkid, Davido, Little Simz, Popcaan, Focalistic, and more to Afro Nation Portugal 2023. These artists represent the very best of African music and culture, and we can’t wait to see them perform on our beautiful beach stage. With so many incredible acts on the lineup, this is shaping up to be the summer’s most unmissable party, and our best festival yet.”
The festival, which is set to take place from June 28 to June 30, boasts talents from across the globe, attracting a varied crowd ready to let the good times roll. Superstars from West Africa, such as Asake, Fireboy DML, Black Sherif, Ayra Starr, Oxlade, BNXN, and more, will represent the region beautifully, while East African legends Sauti Sol will hit the stage to provide their special flavour to the mix.
