Dancehall sensation Skeng has two reasons to celebrate today; the first is his birthday, and the other being he has inked a new deal that will see him embarking on an extensive tour of the U.S. this year.
Speaking exclusively with Prism Marketing Consultants, his management team explained that they’re unable to divulge full details of the agreement but noted that the move is aimed at expanding the artiste brand,
“I’m not able to disclose too much info. But can confirm we are working with a tour partner that understands Skeng as a brand as well as his creative persona.” – said, Cara Vickers
Regarding expectations from the deal, she added, “We are working closely to expand and tailor Skeng’s tour schedule and ensuring he performs in some of the best venues across the USA this year. Skeng is in beast mode, recording another set of hits.”
Aside from being one of the most impactful new talents of 2022 within the dancehall realm, the Spanish Town deejay has been steadily reaping the rewards of his labour with the receipt of several accolades.
Late last year, New York-based streaming giant Audiomack named the entertainer’s debut E.P. “Beast of the Era” as one of the “50 Best Albums of 2202“, with “Gifted” by Koffee and Jahmiel’s “Legend” the only others Jamaican entries securing a spot on the coveted list.
The “Protocol” hitmaker was also named their dancehall pick for “Artiste of the Year.”
