Popcaan, a significant figure on the dancehall scene, has been ramping up his promotional efforts for his upcoming album, “Great Is He.”
The lead single from the project “We Caa Done“, a collaborative effort with Canadian rapper Drake, this week debuted at No.16 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 and No.36 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 chart, respectively.
Released twelve days ago, the official video has amassed over 3.7 million views and previously occupied the No.7 spot on the Trending Youtube Music chart in Jamaica.
The track also made its debut on Spotify’s “Top Song Debut Global” chart at an impressive No.3 spot, adding another noteworthy accomplishment for both Popcaan and Drake.
Popcaan and Drake have previously collaborated on several hit songs such as “My Chargie,” “Twist and Turn,” “All I Need,” and “Controlla.” These collaborations have been well-received by fans and critics alike, and this latest release is no exception.
Meanwhile, “Great Is He” is expected to be released later this year. This will be Popcaan’s fifth studio album, following the success of “Where We Come From“, which reached No.2 on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart, and “Forever“, which debuted at No. 171 on the Billboard 200 Chart. The anticipation for “Great Is He” has been building up over the past year.
