Former Gaza deejay Lisa Hyper has been making headlines for the past week after a pair of videos surfaced on social media last week of her exhibiting bizarre behaviour and another of being baptised.
On Thursday afternoon, in an interview with popular radio station Zip 103FM the dancehall songstress broke her silence, addressing several topical matters surrounding her career.
According to Lisa, whose given name is Felicia Gooden, she has stopped drinking and smoking, and though she still dons her original stage moniker, advised host Sapphire, “yuh can call me Sister Hyper.”
Alluding to her baptism Hyper said, “I have never felt better in all my life”. However, it remains to be seen if she will be making a complete transition to the world of Christianity. She also used the opportunity to laud incarcerated deejay, former mentor and labelmate Vybz Kartel, for his tutelage.
What is clear, though, is that she continues to promote her latest secular release titled “Nuh Like People“, jointly produced by Luigi Society, Yo West Productions and Gad People Production.
The single is accompanied by an official video released last Friday via her Youtube channel.
