Chronixx’s highly acclaimed debut album, Chronology, released six years ago, marks a significant milestone in his career.
Distributed by Virgin EMI Records, the 2017 album made a noteworthy impact, debuting at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Reggae Albums Chart and spending two weeks at the top. It also succeeded on the Swedish Albums chart, peaking at No. 21 during its five-week run.
Since its release, Chronology has achieved notable sales and streaming metrics, accumulating 100,000 album-equivalent units in the U.S. This includes 17,000 pure copies sold and a commendable 134 million streams. The album’s popularity has been fueled by the standout tracks “Likes“, “Skankin Sweet,” “I Can“, and “Smile Jamaica“. Among these, “Skankin Sweet” is the most streamed on Spotify, amassing over 32 million streams as of the first week of July 2023.
Chronixx had already gained widespread recognition in the music industry even before the launch of his debut album. He made a memorable appearance on the Jimmy Fallon show, and his EP, “Dread and Terrible“, reached the top spot on the Billboard Digital Reggae Singles chart. This firmly established his position on the Reggae music scene. The EP’s success continued as it maintained a Top 10 position on the Top Reggae Albums chart for 42 consecutive weeks.
While Chronixx remains relatively quiet on the local music scene, Prism Marketing Consultants understands that he’s presently composing new music for his upcoming project(s). His most recent appearances were at Protoje’s Lost In Time Festival and a concert in the United Kingdom.
