Father’s Day is a special occasion celebrating fathers and their significant role in the lives of their children and families. For dancehall star Aidonia, this day holds a deeper meaning as he reflects on cherished memories with his late son, Khalif Lawrence.
In a recent interview, the 4th Genna head honcho opened up for the first time since his son’s passing, sharing how he manages to navigate the challenges and avoid falling into a state of depression. He emphasized the importance of music, friends, and a robust family support system that keeps him going, even during difficult times.
Reflecting on the lessons he learned from the experience, Aidonia expressed how becoming a father changed him. He became less aggressive and more thoughtful, understanding that his actions could positively or negatively impact his son’s life. Underscoring the need to be mindful and considerate of his choices.
The “Frsh Drop” hitmaker also attributes his increased drive and ambition to his son, declaring that everything he did was for Khalif. His son became his motivation and inspiration in both his personal life and career.
Currently, on tour in the United States along with a few Caribbean dates, Aidonia has been diligently working on new music. With over thirty recorded tracks, including his recent releases, he is preparing to unveil a new project titled “Occupied Minds” later this year.
