Minister Marion Hall seems to be getting some pushback from sects within the religious community and broader society for her latest endeavour.
The former dancehall queen turn Christian has been causing quite an uproar on social media since securing a booking for this year’s Reggae Sumfest in Catherine Hall, Montego Bay. Aside from being banned from one North American-based Church, part of her campaign surrounding the event also entails the acquisition of thousands of Bibles to be distributed at the festival.
However, her recent efforts in asking for donations towards the campaign have been met with much resistance resulting in Hall pulling the plug on the drive. Taking to social media to explain her plights, the entertainer wrote,
“Blessings overflow to everyone. Please be advised that I won’t be preaching, or doing prayers and fasting online anymore, because social media has become a place, where I no longer want to bring the word of God.”
Further in the post, she thanked those who supported the cause while affirming a divine way will be found to achieve her desired goal,
“Thanks to all of you who contributed to the Bible’s. I am being called all sort of name for asking for contributions to buy them, so don’t worry about the purchase of them. God will provide. He always do. I will still post, when I can, but I’m done preaching and fasting online. Peace out.”
Less than a week ago, Marion Hall released her latest single, “I‘m Doing Better“, with the accompaniment of an official video. The single was executively produced by Josef Bogdanovich on the Downsounds Entertainment imprint.
