Jamaican dancehall artiste Najeeriii has secured one of the music industry’s most notable international honours after being named to Billboard‘s prestigious 2026 21 Under 21 list. The annual feature recognises 21 of the world’s most promising artistes under the age of 21, with Billboard praising the 20-year-old deejay’s steady rise, musical versatility and consistency. The publication highlighted his breakout momentum over the past year, pointing to his debut album Book of Bob, two EP releases in 2026 and his willingness to push the boundaries of contemporary dancehall.

According to Billboard, Najeeriii has maintained his momentum since closing out 2025 with Book of Bob, a project that featured collaborations with fellow Caribbean stars Govana, Popcaan, Skillibeng and Yung Bredda. The magazine also recognised his productive 2026 campaign, which included the EPs Gyalentine’s in February and Heatwavs in May, as well as the resilient single “Still Standing”, produced alongside **MXSSIVH, best known for his work with Drake.

Billboard further commended the young deejay’s commitment to expanding his sound beyond traditional dancehall. It singled out tracks such as “Lagos“, with its Afrobeats influence, and “Victoria’s Secret”, which blends R&B and trap dancehall, as examples of his artistic growth. The publication noted that this willingness to experiment has helped establish Najeeriii as one of the Caribbean’s most exciting emerging talents while also contributing to his Best New Dancehall Artist nomination at the Caribbean Music Awards in 2026.

The recognition places Najeeriii alongside a new generation of global rising stars featured on Billboard’s latest list, while reinforcing dancehall’s continued presence on the international stage. As his catalogue continues to expand and his profile grows beyond the Caribbean, the Billboard honour marks another significant milestone in what is shaping up to be a defining chapter in the young artiste’s career.
