With more than one billion global streams and now two RIAA Gold-certified singles as a lead artist, Kranium is continuing to prove that Jamaican music can compete at the highest commercial level worldwide. His hit single “We Can” featuring Tory Lanez has officially earned Gold certification in the United States, adding another major milestone to one of the strongest international catalogues in modern dancehall.

The achievement makes Kranium one of the few contemporary dancehall artists to secure multiple RIAA Gold certifications as the lead artist on his own records. While Caribbean music has heavily influenced mainstream culture for decades, lead dancehall singles rarely reach Gold status in the U.S. market. Unlike certifications tied to guest appearances or collaborative roles, both of Kranium’s American Gold plaques were earned through records he led directly: “Nobody Has To Know” and now “We Can”. The milestone further highlights his ability to build an international audience around his signature fusion of dancehall, reggae and R&B.

“Coming from Jamaica, you dream about taking our music to every corner of the world, but you also carry the responsibility of representing the culture the right way,” Kranium said while reflecting on the achievement. “To receive a second RIAA Gold plaque as the lead artist means everything because these are records that started with my vision and my story.” He added that the accomplishment is “a win for dancehall, for Jamaica and for every young artist who believes our music deserves to stand alongside any genre in the world.”

The new certification follows the continued global success of “Nobody Has To Know,” the breakout hit that helped introduce Kranium’s melodic style to audiences worldwide and previously earned Gold certification in the United States. Over the years, the Jamaican singer has quietly built one of the most impressive international certification resumes among modern dancehall acts. His catalogue includes Platinum, Gold and Silver certifications across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, including Canadian Platinum plaques for both “Nobody Has To Know” and “We Can”, alongside U.K. Silver certifications for “We Can” and “Gal Policy”.

The latest accolade arrives during another active chapter in Kranium’s career as he continues releasing new music and expanding his international reach. More than a decade after emerging as one of dancehall’s most distinctive voices, Kranium continues showing that consistency, crossover appeal and authenticity can carry Jamaican music far beyond the Caribbean while helping strengthen dancehall’s global commercial footprint.
